Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023.     This was my first time at DLeña, and I took my partner here for a late Valentines Day dinner date. We both had an AMAZING experience, food was perfect, our server (Jeff H) was very attentive and had amazing vibes ! The atmosphere was very romantic, and we really enjoyed the consistent service of water, removal of finished dishes, and making sure we had everything we needed. I will be back with a group of 7 for bottomless brunch next month !!!

    From the starters to the desserts… so damn good! Recommend the pimento dip, brussel sprouts and lamb if available… don’t miss out on the dessert: coffee and cigarettes! Can’t wait to go back.

    Brought a new colleague to dinner tonight -- superb evening. We ordered different selections, but both agreed food came out outstanding. Incredible experience. Food came out hot. Server Maria was friendly yet professional -- she really helped us through the menu.
