The Roma is a throwback, classic American Italian restaurant located in the heart of the West End on Congress St, that pays tribute to the great American Italian restaurants of decades past. The Roma will serve classic Italian-American fare in a relaxed and comfortable dining room. Love for comfort food.

Bringing some LA vibes to the northeast. REGARDS draws inspiration from the diverse food culture of Los Angeles. We highlight flavor profiles from Japan and Mexico with the freshest of Maine produce and products. The menu at REGARDS has bright, zippy ceviches and crudos, rich tamales, plump Argentinian shrimp tacos, along with mezcal cured hamachi collars, crab rice and grilled cabbage with caesar. Clarified lime margaritas with eucalyptus or our gin and sotol martinis with hibiscus pair with our adventurous menu. We pour natural wine and have a large selection of curated mezcals and tequilas.A place for us and for you. Might not make sense, but it sure is delicious. Across the street from Reny's. Nearby Maine College of Art, Portland Stage Company, State Theatre, Empire Comedy Club and Blue Jazz Club. **The 50 Best New Restaurants of 2022, Bon Appetit****Plate Magazine Chef's To Watch, 2023****Star Chef New England, 2023**

Prices are very high and portions are very small. I dined with my significant other at Solo for an early dinner. Our service and food were exceptional. We shared a small beet, Gorgonzola and greens salad which was very good. The house bread was good also. I had my favorite dish of linguine with clams in a light broth with tomatoes. It was very good but again a very meager portion. You might see the thread that the food is good but the portions are really small. It’s hard to understand why they could not provide more pasta. My boyfriend with dietary restrictions had the halibut which was a tad overcooked with a few slices of potatoes and a few tomatoes. I did not like the gelato. Wine was fantastic. It’s a fantastic restaurant which is pricey and provides very small portions.

Roma provides very good Italian food that is a cut above basic options that many Italian theme restaurants offer. Having a chef from Italy is a real treat. We have been there a few times, and found that the menu changes, which is a good way to offer variety.

Evo is a stand out restaurant in Portland, and one of the best overall experiences I've had in a very long time. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all on point. I highly recommend adding this to your list of must visit restaurants in Portland if you are looking for an excellent experience!
