Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Waikiki

We visit this restaurant often and it is always excellent. We did visit last November and had some excellent wine, Papale. Wish that they would bring that wine back in.  Today, had Robert as a server. He was excellent and represents your restaurant well. We will be visiting again next week. 

Food was excellent, Ribeye was outstanding, lobster mac and cheese on another level. My wife had Filet mignon that was super savory and twice baked potato that was super good. Server was super rude and her service was terrible.

We had dinner February 15, 2025, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance was great with the ocean view. While very close to the beach, it was not so close that you had to dodge volleyballs or frisbees from the beach. The food was off the chart great. Wonderful meal. We opted for the 4-course meal, and it was both the right decision to go that route, and it was reasonably priced. We were in no way rushed through the meal so they could turn the table over as soon as possible. We had all the time we needed to leisurely enjoy the fine food. Our server, Branden J. F., was also fantastic and very much added to the experience. He was attentive without being "in the way." He made it a personal experience like we were old friends.

Our first time dining here was a great experience with Japanese cuisine. I was drawn by the name of the restaurant being a Japanese whiskey lover. The sashimi was fresh and their (Cod) butterfish was none like I ever had. It was prepared perfectly not too dry and not too soft the texture was just right. The presentation was also perfect as with Japanese tradition unlike the cheap Japanese restaurants which tries to be traditional yet commercialized. Of course you get what you pay for and we were very pleased with Ambience, service, and especially the food. It was well worth the expense for the experience. Also if you are a Japanese affectionado like I am they also have the highly sought after Yamazaki 18 and Hibiki 21 if you just have to taste it and of course with a price if you’re willing to pay. This will be our regular Special occasion restaurant from now on and perhaps even stop by for lunch if we’re in Waikiki again.

Best steak I have ever had. Service was amazing, and ambience was perfect.
