A lovely time was had, great food and value for money. A little too loud, but not really a issue. I was with friends celebrating my birthday. A little embarrassed and disappointed when we paid the bill. We wanted to pay mostly in cash, over £100, but the waitress was quite unhelpful and told us how they couldn't take the cash and we needed to pay by card! She then proceeded to tell us a story about a huge theft by a director or manager who was prosecuted when a large value of money was taken. We found this quite unprofessional and unnecessary. It seemed a few minutes went by where she stood in silence not knowing what to do! She took our cash (it is legal tender) and we left. A little disappointing end to our evening. Waitress was named Bea. Thank you x

It was my 21st birthday and i ordered the flat iron steak - it was absolutely divine, cooked perfectly. I also got a scoop of ice cream with a candle in on the house! I always love coming here, it feels so sophisticated and classy but laid back at the same time. Every time i visit the Hermitage i have an amazing time. Prices were reasonable considering the quality.

Our team had a wonderful work Christmas lunch at Lussmanns Hitchin today. It provided a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Everybody loved their food and the staff were amazing. Can't wait to go back. There was a great selection on the menu - something for everyone. A big shout out for the sprout tops - we loved them. Thank you to the Lussmanns team.

Great lunch with a friend. Excellent food and food service though slightly disappointed you had to pre book a festive lunch. Will know better next time!
