Best Romantic Restaurants in Buellton

Made reservation ahead for my Son’s Birthday. Greeted and seated quickly. Menus and drinks offered. Ordered appetizers clams, which were incredible. Delicious broth and rustic bread to dip. The Pork belly salad was delicious also. Entrees Rib Eye, Salmon and Scallops and steak medallions were all cooked perfectly and all great. The veggies and mashed potatoes were tasty. Dessert of Crème Brûlée and Birthday chocolate cake with ice cream and chocolate edible Happy Birthday. Tried a couple of different beverages from the special alcohol menu. All excellent. Service was excellent. Marcos as our waiter and all other staff we interacted with were attentive and friendly.

We had a party of 6 and shared several starters in addition to our main courses, a couple deserts and some cocktails. The service was great. Every dish was beautifully presented, unique and absolutely delicious! This was my second time eating here (live locally), but it was a first for everyone else and they all raved about their meal. Highly recommend the Gathering Table!

I've been eating at the Buellton Hitching Post for over 30 years and can't remember a bad meal, plate, or drink. This is a special restaurant that never lost its soul. It's not about plating, or stuffiness or a 50 page wine list. JJ the wine buyer puts together a great list that goes from great local BTG specials to a cellar that sports 1962 Lafite. Bring your friends and trust the 'Post' to exceed your expectations. Don't sleep on the duck, the mushrooms, the pork chop, and of course the steaks are fire--my choice is the filet.

The flavors were vibrant and the cuisine engaged all the senses leveraging color and texture. I had gone there with my daughter during restaurant week and enjoyed it so much I really wanted to find a reason to go back again. When a friend I had not seen in many years came to town from Laguna Beach that seemed like the perfect opportunity. She is a foodie and enjoyed it just as much as I did.

I've never been to a wine tasting where every.single.wine was absolutely delicious. The owner was awesome, the stories were amazing. I can't remember having such a special time at a tasting before. I would recommend this SO much!
