Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking.     We decided to celebrate Christmas Eve with our friends, out to a lovely restaurant, and we are so happy that we chose Ruth's Chris Steak House. We were greeted (along with all of the other diners) by a festive front entrance & immediately I knew we made the right choice. The bar was busy but fun and we had delicious wine while waiting less than 10 minutes for our table (but we were 20 minutes early). We had multiple servers and the manager greet and wait on us. We felt very well taken care of from the Staff. The food was just as I expected, AMAZING! We had everything from Filet Mignon to Sea Bass to Crab Cakes to the wonderful sides of Creamed Spinach, Sweet Potato Casserole and Au Gratin Potatoes. Everything was excellent! We had a few bottles of the Quilt Cabernet, and it was very reasonably priced and delicious! The atmosphere was energetic and we felt good being in this beautiful setting on Christmas Eve. All in all, a fantastic time! Highly recommend this restaurant for being consistently great; this is on the heels of having not so great an experience the week before at Eddie V's. I will not go back there for quite some time.

    La Bonne Vie provided an absolutely superb Christmas Eve dinner program that took away all of the stress of the holiday season. The prix fixe menu was very thorough and provided many fine options for all tastes. The wine and cocktail lists were excellent. Having a special Christmas Eve dinner was a stroke of genius and the owners of La Bonne Vie are to be commended for thinking about the adults during Christmas time. One of the many fine parts of the dinner experience was the "quiet" in the restaurant. The joy of having a sumptuous meal with your loved one in a place with the proper ambiance cannot be overstated. We cannot wait for our next dinner at La Bonne Vie!
