Carlton Wine Room is a neighbourhood restaurant offering a well-executed, fresh, seasonal food menu, and an ever changing, diverse wine list featuring the best of Italy, Australia and the rest of the World. We offer a bar space, an upstairs restaurant dining room and three unique spaces that are can be booked for private dining perfect for special events.RESERVATIONS: are for a two hour sitting. We do not accept bookings for drinks and snacks, however we accept walk-ins for this if space permits. A surcharge of up to 1.2% applies to credit card transactions. A surcharge of 10% applies on Sundays and 15% on Public Holidays. OUTSIDE SEATING: please note this is subject to the weather and we may not be able to move your reservation inside in the case of bad weather.     Great little find near The Princess Theatre which we had an early dinner before seeing Tina - great value $49pp menu - food was delicious and plenty of it! Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend to try this restaurant!

    Carlton wine room is a well oiled machine. A genuine effort to make the dining experience special but still remain approachable and keeping the vibe. Took my partner there last night for her birthday and it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a few years. Well done guys, we’ll be back!

    Hidden down a cute laneway in an old motor garage is one of the very best Italian restaurants in the city ... actually, one of the best places to eat! Their Gnocco (atteptiser) is a fluffy savoury starter that never fails to get my guests to say "oh ... wow". Great sharing food (or don't share) and excellent wines (mostly Italian). Pastas are unique, the mains amazing. I visit regularly. Not cheap but certainly not over the top.
