Best Romantic Restaurants in San José Insurgentes

We had mushrooms and squash soap and capri salad for appetizers. For main course- lamb and cod. All was good, appetizers and lamb weee perfect, cod - depends on your taste. For dessert we ordered tres leches and that has nothing to do with tres leches. It was a sponge cake with some kind of solid “cream”. Service was nice and view is amazing

Casa Virginia is my new favorite restaurant in Mexico. The calming and stunning interior immediately transports you to the beginning of the last century and makes for an oasis in a loud and bustling city. Every member of staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. And the food! The food is mouthwatering and full of flavor, and it speaks to the eyes and well as to the stomach. I enjoyed a range of delights from tender sea bass to the most scrumptious asparagus and beyond, and my only disappointment was that I had no room for dessert. I’ll be sure to visit Casa Virginia at least once on every trip to Mexico City and I would urge you to do the same and enjoy the culinary magic of Mónica Patiño. This remains one of my favorite spots to have breakfast in Mexico City. The place is absolutely beautiful, the service is great, and the food never disappoints. Eggs Benedict and French toast are a must.
