Best Romantic Restaurants in Water Mill

This was our first time here, and we will be back. Everything was excellent, from the ambience, to the warm hospitality, and the excellent food and drink. We were greeted as if we were welcomed back, even though it was our first visit. There will be many more visits.

The Waterlot in Southampton Bermuda has undergone a beautiful restoration. This landmark Bermuda restaurant closed shortly after the pandemic and reopened in December, 2024.. I've dined there many times in the past, but our first trip back after the brief hiatus was a culinary delight. The restaurant itself has kept faithful to old-fashioned charm and elegance that has been the norm here for a few hundred years. The food was impeccable (make sure you have the seafood bouillabaisse- it is an appetizer, but could have been served as a full meal). I ordered the surf and turf and the lobster tail which had been poached in vanilla was outstanding. The wait staff were friendly and it is obvious that they are proud of the establishment. The maître d'hôtel, Barry Cohen, greets every diner personally and assures that everything is just perfect. The Waterlot is truly a five-star dining experience which should not be missed.

My husband and I dined at Calissa for the first time this past Sunday. The restaurant was nice and warm when we came in from the cold. We were greeted warmly. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. We ordered from the prix fixe menu. There were many great choices offered and the food was plentiful and excellently prepared. The staff were very attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely come back.

Almond is the perfect, cozy, refuge during the late fall and winter nights. The ambience is cozy and welcoming. The staff is always kind and hard working. We love the various specials Almond has, such as the Tuesday beer and burger night. We are lucky to have it as a neighborhood spot.
