Best Romantic Restaurants in White Bear Lake

Beautiful space. Delicious food and drinks. Dont be fooled by bad cutlery! Despite struggling to cut my steak, it was a tender, melt in your mouth filet. Perfectly cooked. Waiter (Cole?) was very prompt and friendly. I appreciated him being present when needed but not overly hovering so we could talk on our rare date night out of the house. Appetizers and entree portions were appropriate for the price. Food and drinks came to the table quickly despite it being Valentine’s Day - I would usually expect slower times due to busier day. Reservations worked perfectly, walked in the door and brought immediately to our table. Had asked for a booth in our reservation if possible and we got seated in a booth. Hostesses were all very nice. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more pleasant experience. As a working mom who rarely gets to get out of the house for fun, or out on a date night - I couldn’t have been happier.

We went to CRAVE for Valentine's Day and had their Valentine's Day $149 three course meal for two deal. It was great and the food was delicious. Even though it was a three course meal, we didn't feel bloated or super full. It helped that they really paced out when they brought out the food. There were a lot of people but we were able to talk and hear each other. The atmosphere was good and the servers were all very nice and polite. Will most likely go on a special occasion again.

Four people--three meal choices: the short ribs, the filet mignon, and the walleye dinner. All were outstanding. The ribs and the filet mignon were tender and flavorful, as was the walleye for which the Inn is known. We each had a cocktail and were very satisfied--no scrimping with the alcohol, which was nice. Sue, our waitress, was top-notch--I think she's been there for years so she is very experienced. No dessert for us although the choices looked yummy. Lake Elmo Inn is a special place and worth the trip there, for sure.

Relaxing, intimate atmosphere. Very wide variety of steak and seafood entree options with great sides. Both the steak and Lobster we had were excellent and complementary slice of birthday cake was an unexpected bonus.

We received a gift card for Christmas and saved it for our anniversary dinner. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The staff was welcoming and gracious and our server, Henry, was an absolute joy. We each had a cocktail and shared the nachos for an appetizer. I'm not normally one to gush over nachos but OH! were they delicious. I'd eat those 100 times. I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked; my husband had the sturgeon which was also perfect. We ended the dinner with a surprise dessert in honor of our anniversary. All in all, it was pricey but worth it for a special occasion. We'll definitely go back.
