Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. Had an amazing experience last night. The food is some of the tastiest we have ever had and overall an amazing restaurant. Credit to the kitchen for turning such flavoursome food out for its customers - outstanding. Also a shout out to our server - tenkgu. I think I spelt that right but he is a credit to the restaurant and his passion for the food was obvious. Just makes the experience all the more special. Many thanks from Michael and Denise Baker.
