We enjoyed the haddock main course with a bottle of wine from their extensive selection. Recommended if staying in Dublin.More infoThe Winding StairPrice: Expensive• Irish• North City Centre•4.7
- AAdamLeinster •1 review5.0Dined on 22 Dec 2024ELY is a standout dining destination that combines exceptional food with a cozy, sophisticated atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the staff's warm welcome and attentive service set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The star of the menu was, without a doubt, the steak. A true masterpiece, it was perfectly cooked to my exact preference and oozed flavor with every bite. The tender, juicy cut was seasoned impeccably and seared to perfection, leaving a subtle smokiness that elevated the dish. Accompanied by chips, a rich red wine jus, and crisp seasonal greens, the meal was as well-balanced as it was indulgent. Beyond the steak, ELY's menu is diverse and thoughtfully curated. The starter of caramelized scallops was a delightful surprise, with a touch of citrus that enhanced their sweetness. For dessert, the chocolate mousse with a velvety texture and rich cocoa flavor offered a refreshing finish. While ELY's prices reflect its premium quality, the exceptional flavors and top-tier service make it worth every euro. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an excellent meal, ELY delivers an experience that’s second to none. A must-visit for steak lovers and food enthusiasts alike!More infoELY Wine Store – MaynoothPrice: Moderate• Wine Bar• Maynooth•4.6

- GGarethOttawa •2 reviews5.0Dined on 19 Dec 2024We really enjoyed our visit. Our server, Ana, probably the best server we've ever had. Even though she was working the whole floor, we honestly felt like she was our own personal server. Very charming. Very knowledgeable about all the different brews and was even able to recommend exactly which ones to pair with certain types of food. She also took the time to discuss all the other options on tap that we didn't choose and even offered us a few samples to try. As a result we tried other beers therefore staying longer than we anticipated. I hope Guinness recognize the assest they have in Ana. As for the venue.... we liked it. However, I don't understand why they don't open it to the public to just walk in. It's such a hassle to try and book and then stick to that time. Also, the atmosphere reflected exactly that. The place was half empty for most of our stay which was a shame because I've been trying to visit for months (I live abroad but return home every few months) so it was kind of frustrating as it's been such an effort to book a table when home. I know Guinness don't need the money and that this side of the brewery is experimental but just commit to it and open it up to the public without having to book. It would be busier more often and as a result would have a better atmosphere. The Christmas Toastie sandwich was delicious. Well done to whoever came up with that recipe. Perfect. To conclude... Ana needs to be recognized for her very obvious passion she holds for Guinness. Don't waste that. You often hear about what incredible employers Guinness were back in the day and how jobs were multi generational. A job for life they would say. I don't hear that about modern day employees. We'll be back.... ThanksMore infoGuinness Open Gate BreweryPrice: Moderate• Brewery• The Liberties•4.5
