Best Seasonal Restaurants in Ankeny

We came in from Omaha to celebrate my partner’s birthday and had a very relaxing and tasty time. I got the dragon noodles and they were delicious, hearty and filling. Our server was friendly, attentive and informative about vegan items, and he treated my partner to a birthday dessert! Thank you!

Alba consistently delivers a high quality dining experience. Des Moines best restaurant in my book. Really excellent food! The only thing I don’t love is all the hard surfaces makes it loud when it’s busy.

A group of 4 people and all had a great time. Our server Jeffery took great care of us. Great job. We always expect great from Stuffed Olive and are always never disappointed. We will be back again.

Food and cocktails (which are never cloyingly over-sweet as is common in DSM) are consistently well-balanced and excellent in every respect. My lovely dining companion, an amazing cook in her own right, loves it here, and trust me, that is a very high bar. Only demerit in my opinion is the loud Manhattan-esque techno music that makes it hard to hear people. The younger and less curmudgeonly might love that , though. We will go back.

My fiancé and I were out tonight to celebrate our engagement and exactly 11 months until our wedding day. Every single staff member was excellent and our waiter, CJ, really went above and beyond to help us celebrate. Not only that but we had the best drinks, appetizers, steaks, and soufflé that you can get in the Midwest. We were amazed by everything and can easily say that the experience was worth every penny.
