Best Seasonal Restaurants in San Marcos

Wow! I do not think I will be eating sushi anywhere else! This was so amazingly fresh, literally ALL of the fish melts like butter. The freshest of fresh! We started with the garlic edamame and Tuna Tostada, which was amazing. The garlic edamame sauce wash perfect. Then we ordered 4 rolls. I really loved the flavor of the Padre Roll, all protein, tons of fish....no skimping here. We also had the Del Mar, Yellowtail mania and King Salmon. All explosions of flavors. Was this way too much food for us and our daughter, yes....but we didn't care we wanted to try them all for our first time. We also found it cute that there was a heart post-it note on our table that said "Hi Jamie" when we got there. There was also a man singing some old school songs which was enjoyable! Go!

The food was very good. The service was more than acceptable. We had a very enjoyable time and will return as we always do.

A bit disappointed. Ordered lasagna, personal fave. It arrived barely hot enough. A[peared that it wasn't cooked to order. because the sauce on top was hotter than the lasagna underneath. So I guess it is precooked in large pans ahead of time, then cut and covered in more sauce. I could have waited till the server came back around to check and sent it back, but decided not to wait and just started eating. It was competent, not memorable.

Beautiful restaurant inside. I rated three stars for food only because there were scant few vegetarian and vegan items. Those were basically side orders. There is not one salad available as an option. The other four people in our party that ordered meat meals really enjoyed their food. I also ranked 4 for noise because the only table available was outside, which is next to another restaurant that had their own music playing. I think if you requested a table inside, it would be perfect. I ordered a martini and it was average And very small. We ordered the s’mores for dessert (And there is actually a vegan option with a vegan marshmallow) But they didn’t really Taste like s’mores. The presentation was lovely though, although not real effective grilling your own marshmallow over tiny coals. I would definitely go back if the Restaurant would provide some actual vegan meals.

Great over-all with excellent service. Would have preferred a more varied menu with a couple of additional entrees- possibly a chicken option? and possibly a vegan option. Ceasar salad, bread and soup were very good~ and the flavored butters. A little chilly, but not bad considering is so open air inside. Savanah was a wonderful server xoxo
