This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. Heard great things and it did not disappoint - we are both vegan, and they whipped up a special menu for us for the evening. Service was perfect, wine was great and food was executed perfectly - so much flavour. We will be coming back.

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch here today. It wasn't too noisy, despite some large groups there. The serving staff were friendly and helpful and the food was top class. The rooms were nicely decorated with muted colours for Christmas (nothing garish.) It was altogether a super experience.
