- DDavidYorkshire •15 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe were treated to afternoon tea. A gift voucher from our son and new daughter in law. Not that we had paid I thought the price of the afternoon tea for what we got was rather expensive. Not a price I would have paid. The tea was quite nice, my wife had a pot of tea and I ordered coffee. On the menu it stated a pot of coffee. All I got was a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly, but didn’t come to ask if everything was ok. It was a nice experience but having had afternoon tea in other places it was expensive compared to other venues.More infoThe Ivy St. Helen’s SquarePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• York•4.5

- LLeeLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined on 3 Jan 2025Our experience at the Refectory was outstanding. The ambience and overall feel of the restaurant was relaxing and chilled. The food was simply some of the best we have ever had (now I really understand what an explosion of flavours means when they say it on Masterchef). Prices I would say were mid to high but the food was worth every single penny. Staff were attentive without being overly so & myself and my husband will definitely return when we visit York again.More infoYork Minster RefectoryPrice: Expensive• British• York•4.5
- LLemoniaGreece •13 reviews4.0Dined on 2 Jan 2025There were four of us and we had booked a table even though the pub wasn’t that busy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food arrived in a timely manner and portions were large. My husband and I did not enjoy our food, the beef patty of the hamburger had a smell that wasn’t very pleasant. The onion rings were delicious but heavy. Our adult kids though loved their lasagna and fish& chips. The hummus starter was a7/10. We all loved their lasagna music playing!!More infoRoyal Oak - 18 GoodramgatePrice: Moderate• Pub• York•4.4
- JJonathanYorkshire •3 reviews5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024Family night out for start to Xmas. Easy to reserve table on internet, we turned up a bit early so went for a drink in bar. That was a little more noisier but not too bad. Shown to table in the ‘Snug’ where it was much quieter and food orders taken quite quickly. Food comes owed to order so took a while to arrive but it was worth it, the food was piping hot, well presented and tasted lovely Will definately go back againMore infoThe Fat Badger YorkPrice: Moderate• British• York•4.5
