Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Prairieville

We love Fleming's and dine there for most special occasions. Last night, which was my birthday celebration, was a bit disappointing. The food was subpar and nowhere near what we have come to expect, and the prices have gone up significantly! Our appetizer, calamari in garlic chili sauce, came with so little sauce it was undetectable. We asked for more and they gladly brought us some more. The steaks were overdone, mushy, and not very appetizing. We ordered the gnocchi as a side, and it was very doughy and tasteless. The salad, soup, and dessert were very good, however. We were told that they have a new chef "in training." That chef clearly need more training! The service was excellent, as always, and we will be back in two weeks for my husband's birthday-- hopefully the quality of the food will have returned to what we have come to expect.

I had an amazing experience at SupplerClub in Baton Rouge! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was top-notch—our waiter was attentive, friendly, and really made us feel at home. As for the food, everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish was prepared perfectly, and the flavors were incredible. The presentation was on point too! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. I highly recommend SupplerClub to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a fantastic overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Our waiter, Rusty was very attentive and friendly. The Chop salad was delicious. My wife had the crab cakes which were great. I had the 8 once filet which is not petite but was perfect and cooked to a perfect medium rare.. The stuffed backed potato for me and spinsch madeline and sweet potato casserole for my wife were all good. My only gripe was the high price of the good Napa wines by the glass.

We had members of our party whose flight got canceled, and they were so accommodating - helped push our reservation back, added an extra chair, and provided great service on a very busy Friday night on the Bama weekend. We love Tio Javi’s and can’t wait to go back :)
