The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. We were there pre-theater when the restaurant was very crowded and very noisy. However, the service was w ondetful, the waiters were experienced and considerate. The food was excellent. High quality, creative and delicious. We will be back very soon.
