- HHayleyManchester/Greater Manchester •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe are a family of four, including two boisterous children. The gentleman who served us absolutely “got the memo” that I needed to discreetly pick the most suitable table to ensure we didn’t disrupt other diners. He was excellent and understanding the boys’ need to be away from other customers and brought us kids menus. The menus seem “slim pickings” but we felt like we had a good selection for our picky kids and us being pescatarian. The cocktail menu was great and we enjoy a few of those. The kids had good sized portions or burger and chicken “nugget” and thick cut chips. We had a selection of veggie sharing plates. All of the food was so incredibly tasty and we felt really full despite the portion sizes looking quite small on arrival. We’d definitely like to return to have more of the menu. We’d just have appreciated a faster service because the kids were getting restless waiting for their puddings. Other than that, this is a very easy place to recommend to others!More infoThe Restaurant at The RefugePrice: Moderate• Global, International• Manchester•4.3

The food was fantastic ,very innovative and wonderful flavours and the decision on which dish to choose was very difficult as all sounded delicious !!! The service was superb with all the waiters fully engaged and very knowledgeable whether the food or wine . We will certainly be back as it was a memorable meal.More infoThe Chefs TablePrice: Expensive• British• Chester•4.7
- MMarkManchester/Greater Manchester •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe are a family of 4, with 14 and 12 year old children, we were all blown away by the quality of the food, we had 9 plates from the menu which we shared; we gave every dish full marks, they were simply delicious. Tapas but British style - unique and avoiding imitation but every bit as good as the best Andalusia has to offer and that is high praise. The Kentucky fried artichokes, cod Kiev and lamb belly were particularly memorable along with the moorish sourdough with Cheshire stout and marmite butter - wow! We the shared 4 desserts to finish things off. Not that it detracted from the experience but a window treatment would avoid the view of the express supermarket opposite but do not let that stop anyone enjoying this amazing dining experience. We particularly enjoyed the music which provided the soundtrack for the evening. We felt compelled to thank the chef for what was for us an incredible evening- thank you again!More infoTwenty EightPrice: Expensive• British• Chester•4.7
