Very kind servers, venison sausage with gravy and the cheese soup were super comforting on a cold evening.

It was an amazing experience food-wise. I loved the atmosphere and the food was really exciting and new. Some combinations felt very Japanese inspired while the resulting taste was very German. The bread was spectacularly good. I had a wine pairing with the menu and was beyond impressed with the choices—especially loved the foray into Czech wine. I do wish that there was some small explanation of the dishes on the menu (it seems to only list main ingredients) but perhaps they want to encourage a dialogue with the service staff, which was outstanding and very helpful. One small negative note: not all plates were optimally salted. This did not impact my overall enjoyment of the meal.

Without hesitation, VEN is definitely the best restaurant we’ve experienced in Dresden. This past visit, we had to go back twice to ensure we were able to maximize on the experience. The food was perfection—highest quality; every bite a treat of exquisite and artistic chef mastery. Bottom line, the food was amazing; the ambience was soothing; and the service was impeccable—as Susan treated us as royalty every visit!
