Best Vegan Restaurants in Steamboat Springs

Our evening was very enjoyable and the food was superb as usual. Everyone was friendly and the service was excellent. Fun night.

Obviously Paul was trying to create a whole different restaurant experience with Brass from what he accomplished at Cafe Diva for decades. Brass has a well lit, contemporary look and feel about it with a “happening” atmosphere…. it’s just ok to be a little loud with your crowd and even speak to your neighboring table. Drink menu is solid and drinks are served quickly ( no hunting someone down for your next ). Wide variety on the menu and our table started out with Tuna, Hummus ( big set up ) & Korean Short Rib . Our Entrees included elk, Bolognese and short ribs - all well portioned and good. Finished off a couple of bottles of wine ( of course Paul is going to have fabulous wine list ). Of note: expected prices to be 25% higher - Brass is a real treat and value.

We live in Steamboat and have for 50 years. Arum is our new go-to place when family visit. The Happy Hour menu is great and well priced. We usually order some off the Happy Hour menu and some of the regular menu. What we like, as locals, is they will take a reservation. This is needed for us during peak seasons. And I requested a table by a window so we could watch skiers on Howelson Hill and I was enthusiastically accommodated (several weeks ahead). We have Vegetarians in our family and Arum is nice about making changes (like tonight they would have left pork belly off the SteelHead…). Everyone is sincerely friendly too. We love coming in the summer to sit outside but will be back more this winter. The general vibe just feels right.

Wonderful Christmas dinner experience at Yampa Valley Kitchen. We had wonderful food - roasted squash appetizer, the short ribs, salmon and pasta bolognese. Generous portions. Everything was delicious and gorgeously presented. Our server - Trinity? - was very cordial, friendly and had an inviting big smile. My favorite holiday songs played softly in the background - loud enough to hear but not overwhelming that we cannot talk. The restaurant’s decor is tasteful and current. We all would highly recommend Yampa Valley Kitchen.
