Ever since the Magic City saw the Orange Bowl crumble in 2008, Miami sports fans were left with a void that most thought would never be filled – Until now. Enter Black Market, a Miami sports bar that calls upon the nostalgia of eighties Miami, a time where the Hurricanes reigned supreme in the college football landscape, when Dan Marino would become the face of Miami sports, and the rest of the country looked at our oasis as a ‘Paradise Lost.’ Cash was king in a lawless city during a time where OUR Miami began to take shape. Black Market Miami is a place that invites you to take pride in our city’s past, both the good and the bad, because it is this rich history that made us who we are today.

I like the Hard Rock Cafe’s museum vibe. Even the restroom signs had fun rock-and-roll signage. I had a party of 15 to celebrate a 50-year anniversary so it was just nice to be able to sit and be together. Our seats were ready Before our reservation!! Food was good. Typical American cuisine and it tasted nice. I got the fajitas which I highly recommend. Drinks were fine. I got the lemonade and paid extra to bring home a souvenir. The signature lemonade was worth it especially since I don’t drink alcohol. Service was FANTASTIC! We bought the souvenir photos and then our server, Kim, was great! Kim made sure to double-check food allergies in the kitchen, she took our group photos, she helped adjust our drinks, brought out extra plates and extra waters, and super patient with all our questions. The wait time from ordering to service was longer than I like but we have such a big group that I don’t strike that against any restaurant. My only critique is the noise level of the ambient music… it felt like we had to shout to hear each other at our own table.

The restaurant was super cute with beautiful chandeliers. We stop to get a quick bite before the It was a Heat vs. Nets game. My date had a cheeseburger and fries. He said the burger was very good. I ordered a chicken Arepas sandwich. The shredded chicken filling was delicious. The Arepas sandwich was served with a side of mixed greens salad. This restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast food, we will come back to check out the breakfast menu.

We were in downtown for one night & went here for dinner. It was the best part of our stay in Miami. We were greeted warmly and sat quickly. I did have a reservation and would highly encourage one. It is a small venue with additional outside seating. Our server Dani was great! The entire staff provided exceptional service. They have a wide array of dishes to please even the pickiest eater. Everything we ate was beyond delicious. The food came out piping hot. We each had soup and a pasta. The pasta tasted as if made fresh. So good. If I'm ever back in Miami, I would definitely recommend.

From the moment you enter and see the funky, eclectic decor, you know that you're in a welcoming space. You'll be warmly greeted and seated. The menu offers enough plates to allow for a variety of palates, but few enough that allow them to be perfected. The homemade pasta dishes are always an excellent choice, the salads are fresh and the panini are lovely. If you love eggplant parmigiani, you're in luck. And the dessert menu is divine!
