“Pete's” Saloon & Restaurant of Elmsford was born in 1977, and has grown from “The Saloon”, the ambitious dream of former owner Peter Riekstins to another ambitious dream of new owner-Anthony Bartolotta. So many of our friends and clientele have grown with us remaining loyal through our six renovations, kitchen and staff upgrades. So many new folks have also joined the Pete's community in recent years, as the quality of the meals, ambience and venue have expanded and matured. Now, in 2020, in the most unprecedented times the restaurant industry has ever faced, Pet's is always a superb value, maintaining the standards of fresh ingredients and care in preparation of the meals so proudly served. Still, with almost four decades of changes, Pete's has never lost the warm, relaxed friendly atmosphere that is the cornerstone of the Restaurant’s popularity with locals and visitors alike.

Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. There's hardly a seat in the house that does not offer a spectacular view of the Hudson river. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Try the classic menu standards of steak frites, moules frites, country terrine, and the Red Hat burger. Seasonal salads, sandwiches, and seafood entrees round out the menu. The food was fabulous. Our server was excellent and truly made delicious recommendations. Where the mood went south was that shortly after we paid the bill and lingered in conversation enjoying the last bit of the evening with friends who we hadn’t seen in months, the hostess came to us and said she wanted to let us know she will need the table in 10 minutes. It was late Sunday night, obviously no other seatings/reservations coming, 4 other empty tables available to seat guests. No one was waiting anywhere to be seated. I completely understand that had it been earlier as the place was packed, but the night was winding down and all the tables seated were most certainly the last of the evening reservations including us. The shift in the enjoyment and mood of the evening was palpable. Not cool.

Benjamins never disappoints. We started with cocktails that were delicious and perfectly executed. Then the apps were crab cakes, bacon and shrimp cocktail. All were delicious and well presented. The bacon was cut up for us all to taste. It is excellent. For our mains we had the rib eye, filet and the sea bass. All were exceptional and savored. We ended the meal with crème brûlée. It was perfect night out.
