Best Fun Restaurants in Plainville

The food was excellent, just overpriced compared to other restaurants of the same level. The menu also needs an update. I wish it were more like Corfinio which is your other property. You need to include those amazing Brussel sprout appetizer that they have at Corfinio. Also, get rid of the TV, nobody wants to see the news while they are out enjoying dinner and trying to escape. We were seated directly across from the kitchen. While it is fun seeing things prepared, all the food runners, delivery orders, etc were all happening inches away from us which made the atmosphere less romantic.

Waiter was too busy chit chatting with people to pay attention to all of his tables. I have been there before an a different Waiter was also too busy chit chatting and jot paying attention to all their tables. It's great to be friendly and interact a little, but I didn't come for a long discussion, just good food and service. I'm not tipping you on just your lovely personality, it's the sevice and food also.

Our favorite starter -- pickle chips -- were delivered quickly and HOT! Must've been right from the fryer. We appreciated that. The meals (greek salad w/salmon, mushroom & ricotta flatbread pizza) were good. Personally, the globs of ricotta scattered on the pizza don't add anything to it. I'll ask for it without the cheese next time. Chocolate chip cookie for dessert was different from what I remember. I remember a flat cookie in a small cast iron frying pan. This was shaped more like a muffin. I like the flat one better. It was unusually (and very pleasantly) quieter than normal. Given that it was lunch time on a Thursday, the place was almost empty.

Luciano’s in Wrentham is hands down one of the best Italian dining experiences you can have! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting—just what you’d hope for in a classic Italian restaurant. The staff was exceptionally attentive, making us feel like honored guests, and the service was flawless from start to finish. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolute perfection! I had the bone-in veal parmesan special, and it was beyond incredible—perfectly breaded, tender, crispy outside and smothered in rich, flavorful tomato sauce with just the right amount of melted cheese. Every bite was divine! My mother had the Frutti di Mare special, and she couldn’t stop raving about it. The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated—a true taste of the sea. What truly made the evening special was the personal touch. Luciano himself made the rounds, warmly greeting each table with such genuine hospitality. He even stopped by to say hello and personally wished my mother a happy birthday, making the night feel even more special. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the owner is so hands-on and passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Between the exquisite food, impeccable service, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Luciano’s is an absolute gem. Our server, Maureen was hustling to get to all of her tables. She had a lot of patrons in her section and it seemed she was the only server in this large section. She was accommodating with my food allergies. She was also friendly and kept checking in on us, despite being so busy. Thank you Maureen!
