The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. We had an amazing time! Everything was excellent, we were a large group for a birthday and we ordered a lot of food. Every dish was great, nothing I wouldn’t order again. Our server, May, was great and knew exactly when to check on us, made good recommendations and obviously knew what she was talking about. Can’t recommend enough :) we could see the kitchen from where we sat and it was nice to see that everyone put a lot of passion and interest into what they were doing.

We dined here for brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday, after two attempts to celebrate with family over the holidays were postponed due to illness of a number of family members. My husband chose brunch at the Distillery District and I suggested Cluny’s based on some great lunch and dinner experiences I had when I worked downtown. We travel this time from Richmond Hill and the drive was definitely worth it. Can’t say enough about the small plates and brunch options. Thank you!
