Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Café, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam. In the summer of 2004, Phoebe's experienced a refreshing makeover with a bright new look in the atrium dining room with fresh paint, new upholstery, and artwork. The coffee lounge also opened that year, and it became an instant hit with the surrounding university and business crowd. Those changes also warranted a new name to reflect the updated attitude and ambiance: Phoebe's Restaurant and Coffee Lounge. Classic elements of Phoebe's remain untouched—the French onion soup and enticing crème brulee, for example, but other menu items change seasonally.     This was my second time visiting Eden. I so enjoyed the first time, I had to go back! My daughter and I went for dinner last night. We ordered drinks from the mixologist who surprised us with very yummy cocktails. We started with appetizers which was the beet salad, and it was delightful. We also had the mushroom toast, absolutely one of my favorites. Then a house salad. We ordered the strip steak with hearth smashed potatoes, Chimichurri, Kale, Creme Fraiche. It was so tender, moist and full of flavor! Our dessert consisted of Lemon tart, my favorite and Blueberry Panna Cotta. " OMG so wonderful"! One thing that made this restaurant a great hit for me, was sitting at the bar, discussing menu favorites with other guests and making new friends. Thank you again for a wonderful evening!

    We all ate off of the dining week menu and each made different choices—what a great value, everything was full sized and excellently prepared. We had meatballs, calamari and salads for appetizers and Cacio e Pepe, pasta Amtricana, a Margherita and a pepperoni pizza. A great local staple in Syracuse.

    Great spot and had such a fun and welcoming vibe. Food was delicious we had the shrimp tower and the wedge for apps, octopus and haddock francaise for dinner and creme brûlée.
