Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. The halloumi fries were divine. We will be thinking about it for the next 10 years. So so yummy. The staff were so friendly and everything tasted so yummy we didn’t have time for dessert but we definitely would go back.

The food was great the haggis bonbons are a must . I had sea trout and it was wonderful . My friends had sirloin and ribeye steak and both said it was the best they have had. Don’t be fooled with the small plates , we all have healthy appetites but after sharing the small plates to start and then the larger main plates it was an early night for us. The service was helpful and friendly and we even had a birthday candle when I let them know it was my friends birthday . Many thanks and well done to the whole team, I will definitely return next time I visit your beautiful city.
