Best Healthy Restaurants in Glencoe

Service was impressive. Constant supply of water, great timing between meals, waiter was excellent. New plates between meals. Food was awesome. Sweet potato latkes had the classic latke texture and flavor with an added creaminess and sweetness from the sweet potato. The falafel was very well seasoned and the sweet creaminess of the beet tzatziki was complemented perfectly by the savory, slightly grittiness of the tahini sauce. The harissa crusted halibut was perfectly cooked flakey fish with a beautifully salty dashi mushroom broth. The harissa crust itself had a cheese-forward flavor not unlike cheez-itz, but in a good way, brightened up by shavings of lemon zest. The frozen yogurt with olive oil and sea salt was a bit surprising in that it was more cheesy than I had expected it to be. The yogurt was great and the drops of olive oil carried a salty punch to them and had hardened ever so slightly from the coldness of the yogurt. The burnt honey cake was great. Tall light multi-layered cake with light burnt honey whipped cream and some other warm spices like cinnamon. The honey cake tasted eerily similar to cinnamon teddy grahams from when I was a kid. The meal was very good, with creative twists on classic dishes that were enhanced by bold flavors. The nostalgic elements of flavors from my childhood were special. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Ema, and if you’re ever in Chicago to try Aba as well. Both are great restaurants.

Everything was fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is that when you order a fillet medium well maybe the server could ask if you’re OK with it being butterflied because ours is pretty pink inside. Although it tasted fantastic

Wonderful delicious vegetarian food. Outstanding service, beautiful restaurant with plenty of plants around. The service is the best overall. Attentive, caring, helpful. All the entrees are delicious. We had the red coconut curry and forbidden fall, both of which are always delicious. The baos are supposedly not available until 4:30 pm and they made it a "legal" rule which is a bit surprising. The other unexpected thing was the dessert of carrot cake. We have had it previously, and it was always good However, this time, the cake was dry and stale and was not good. Other than that, this was another wonderful experience.

Great locally sourced food. Healthy choices. Love their salads. Great burger. My favorite restaurant in the north suburbs. Attentive service.

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable of the preparation of every item on the menu on which we had questions. Even with a packed dining room, he kept checking in with us to make sure that all was good and made sure that we had a lovely evening. The food, as usual, was excellent. I had prime rib and my wife had branzino. Both were excellent as well as the salad, bisque, mushrooms and au gratin potatoes.
