- TTammieAustin •4 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoCafé Blue has quickly made a name for itself as a go-to spot for delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. My recent visit, however, was a mix of highs and lows, offering some great culinary experiences but also a few notable frustrations. Let’s start with the positives: the food at Café Blue was outstanding! Each dish we ordered was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. From the fresh ingredients to the artful presentation, it was evident that the chefs take great pride in their creations. The highlights for me included the seasonal specials, which featured unique flavor combinations that were both comforting and inventive. I left feeling satisfied and excited to return for more. However, the service left something to be desired. Upon our arrival the manager was rude, condescending and inappropriate telling us our reservation with Open Table was “iffy.” She scolded us and stated we are booked with reservations. Well, we made ours well in advanced, also. In addition, we experienced a significant wait for our drinks. It’s understandable that places can get busy but they had plenty of staff to assist. While the stellar food will definitely bring me back, I hope Café Blue addresses the service issues. Creating a welcoming environment for guests should be just as important as crafting delicious dishes. Overall, I would recommend Café Blue to anyone looking for great food, but be prepared for a potentially slow start when it comes to drinks. Here’s hoping for a smoother experience next time.More infoCafe Blue - Hill Country GalleriaPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Bee Caves / Lakeway / Lake Travis•4.4

The fruits de mer was very good and so were the dressed oysters and of course the mussels and clams sauce was out of this world!!! The snapper and grits was also superb!! Cocktails not quite as snazzy as they used to be. Not super cold as a good shaken or stirred drink should be. No frost! Loved the little lime twirl on my cosmo though! But we still had a fabulous time!! ! Thank you!!!!More infoClark's Oyster Bar - AustinPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.9

We let our server Jessica give us some guidance on our menu for the evening, and her recommendations did not disappoint. The sake tom kha was delicious, with a flavor packed tom kha reduction. We also had an ocean trout nigiri on special that was so delicious, we ordered seconds. We’ll be back!More infoUchi AustinPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Downtown•4.9
