Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. My daughter & I went to Ritual House for the first time last night. We got seated in a booth near the bar. We ordered a bread board and the edamame, both were good! I ordered the Asian inspired chicken and got the sauce on the side, as recommended by the waiter. The chicken was moist and the breading perfectly done! The sauce was on the sweeter side (almost like syrup), so I am glad it was on the side. Didn’t care for the slaw. My daughter got a grilled chicken Caesar salad, she said it was good! We will definitely be back to try some different food.

This place is a gem! The owner is so welcoming and Melissa our waitress made our whole experience so personal! It was Christmas Eve and a special night for us as a family to be all together and Senti showcased how good Pittsburgh food can be with their crowd pleasing appetizers and the duck which was to die for. Even though it was 9.30 on the night before Christmas we felt very non rushed through our meal and thank the staff for working so hard to make our night so memorable!

Fantastic drinks and cocktails. Love the atmosphere on the bar side. The food is usually amazing - fried pickles were less crunchy than usual and the chicken sandwich was good- but not as outstanding as usual. Overall love the place. Hoping it was just an off day.
