Best Healthy Restaurants in Barrio Logan

From the moment we walked in the hostess was amazing. She accommodated our early arrival and was super helpful in getting us seated at the bar, while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Our waitress in the bar, Erica, recommended happy hour drinks, and was super kind and welcoming! Our waiter, when our whole party arrived and was seated for dinner, Jacob, was also very kind and patient with our large group. We will certainly be back, as this is a staple restaurant whenever we’re in the San Diego area.

We started with the Happy Hour mules, rock shrimp, tacos, kale salad and then moved to the regular dinner menu scallops, sushi rolls and dessert. The service and ambience was great. Very friendly staff and the food was served quickly. We live downtown and will definitely return. Highly recommend the kale salad, Hokkaido scallops, Bezerk sushi roll and churro ice cream.

We decided to go to Tapas and Beer prior to a show at Civic Theater. We made a wonderful choice. Great dishes to chose from and my family and I enjoyed. Outstanding, personable service from the French couple that worked very hard for their customers.

Attended the 5-course Christmas Eve dinner. It was worth every penny- from start to finish it was coursed beautifully, ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly to temp, plating was festive and colourful; and all this with just the right timed check-ins from my bartender/server James. The couple next to me did the wine pairing and everything was explained nicely and paired well... along with some fun history & stories- I opted for the cocktails which were creative and utilized some lovely ingredients as well as being well balanced.

Scott was an excellent server. The Water Grill has a fantastic menu and the food is fresh, innovative and delicious. The restaurant interior is very well done and comfortable. One of the very best restaurants in San Diego. It is at the too of our list. You won’t be disappointed.
