Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was built in 1971 by a man who was not afraid to put his name on his product. Rooted in warm welcomes & excellent food, Tom Ham made his lifelong dream a reality. Tom Ham’s Lighthouse is the only restaurant in the US to have a USCG operated & maintained Lighthouse attached to it. You can locate us on any modern nautical map as Beacon #9. Featuring a 100% responsibly resourced seafood menu & award winning Sunday Champagne Brunch, we are a must when it comes to the San Diego food scene. I recommend a dinner reservation 30 minutes before sunset so you can see San Diego by sun and by the city lights after sunset.

We were greeted and treated well as soon as we entered. We had a very nice table by the windows. Our server Stefano was wonderful and helpful. The rest of the staff was very courteous and provided great service. Our foods were wonderful. Caesar salad, Peruvian Crudo as appetizers. Main courses scallops for Eddie and Blue fin tuna for me plus truffle yucca fries. Triple chocolate dome mousse (outstanding)and white cake with lavendar and lemon. Can’t beat the view.

Highly recommended. If you've never been here, it is one of the most beautiful restaurants in San Diego and doesn't need a view of the city or water. On top of that, the food is fantastic. We had the chef's cut (hanger) steak along with the beef short ribs and salmon. Both dishes were incredible. We finished the evening with the tres leches cake and coffee. Amazing! The only thing better than the food and ambiance was the service provided by Mehdi. He made spot on dinner and dessert recommendations for us. He was fantastic and truly an asset to the Prado. I will be back, even if it is just for dessert and/or cocktails. Oh, also dog friendly on the front patio, which tonight provided awesome music from the wedding nearby.
