Firegrill St-Laurent: A Mixed Experience - 3.9/5 At first glance, Firegrill St-Laurent makes a fantastic impression. The restaurant is stunning, with a beautifully designed space that exudes warmth and sophistication. The staff is equally impressive—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely fun to interact with. They made us laugh and were incredibly helpful throughout the evening. The presentation of the food was equally appealing, and it’s clear that attention to detail is a priority. However, the experience faltered when it came to execution. I ordered the Filet Mignon blue, but it arrived more cooked than I had requested, missing the mark on this delicate preparation. I also opted for a lobster tail, but unfortunately, it was served undercooked. When I sent it back, I was disappointed that the same tail was simply refired rather than replaced—a surprising choice, given the $26 price tag. To add to the frustration, it came back overcooked. That said, I don’t suspect these issues are a regular occurrence. It’s possible that their top chefs weren’t in the kitchen on December 26th—a busy time of year where inconsistencies can sometimes happen. Everything else we ordered was well-prepared and enjoyable, and the ambiance made the evening pleasant. With some improvements in food preparation, Firegrill has the potential to be exceptional. For now, it’s a good spot with some room to grow.

The service we received was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and personalized, which made all the difference. The staff really went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. P.S. They have the best wine selection.

Excellent food and service , I find that the final tab was expensive for 2 people. I realize that this is an issue in many restaurants, because of this we go out less often now .

This is our go-to restaurant. What brings us back is the continuous experience of tasting new flavour combinations and textures. After several visits, this has been so far our tastiest meal. Thx to staff for their attentiveness and care.

Food was a solid A but the service ended very poorly. The waiter came with the check cover opened and after I paid he literally dumped the transaction receipt on the table and said “Merci” and left. I gave a 20% tip on a $350 bill so I dont understand the attitude at all…
