As a person who has lived in Italy, I will say that Walnut Creek has many fine Italian restaurants, but nothing as authentic as Montesacro. They serve Roman style Italian food, from Cacio e Pepe to Carbonara to the delicious Pinsa pizzas (Roman style square pizzas,).
