Best Historic Restaurants in Dana Point / Monarch Beach

Lovely tea house! Loved the food, had the mission high tea set and my friend ordered the rosemary chicken. DEEELISH! Plan for time to find parking and to walk over!

i'm a big fan of El Adobe restaurant, so you're always going to be an excellent review from me.. however this trip was one of my favorites. There was a wedding reception in the back area, which led to some extra excitement, but they also had the live harp player inside. The harpist played a Beatles song, and when we requested another Beatles song, he came over to our table to play an amazing version of "Hey Jude". the food was on point, our server Gil was a sweetheart, and the drinks were fantastic.

We had a large dinner party of 11 people meeting and the Chart House was wonderful about providing a round view table so that we could all talk to each other without needing to shout down the length of a long table. Some of our party ordered 3-crse meals, which is a great deal at the Chart House (choice of appetizer, choice of entree, and a mini chocolate lava cake for dessert). Others ordered different appetizers and an entree. While some ordered an entree only. Basically, a server's nightmare trying to time what to serve when to whom, and our server did an amazing job. The only downside to the entire lovely dinner was the music is cranked up too high and drowns out conversation.

Delicious food served with friendly smiles on a lovely patio. I thought I'd be cold sitting outside in November, but the covered portion of the patio by the fireplace was toasty warm and well sheltered from any cold breezes. The wine recommendation was excellent and reasonably priced, and the menu easily accommodated our different tastes. We'll definitely be back!

We had a relative visiting from east coast who has celiac disease. He rarely eats out but if he does he uses an app that rates restaurants nearby that are celiac safe. Rosewood Social showed up on his app so we took him there. Most of the menu is gluten free which was great. He asked the waiter about the food prep and the waiter had the chef come out to talk to him. The chef reassured him that his meal would be prepared separately so there’s no cross contamination. The food was excellent and he even ordered another entree! My husband and I will be going back this restaurant. So good!
