This is Butcher & Banker, a new "steakeasy" at the crossroads of Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Javits Center and Hudson Yards.Butcher & Banker is no ordinary steakhouse. A dozen different steaks are on offer, but non-steak eaters will dine exceedingly well here.Butcher & Banker pays homage to the New Yorker Hotel’s storied history. The New Yorker opened in 1930 at the height of the Great Depression as the then largest hotel in the city. It has attracted a who’s who of entertainers and dignitaries from around the world, including Muhammad Ali, JFK, Joan Crawford and Nikola Tesla. Beneath the hotel, a bank vault and offices were occupied by the Manufacturers Trust Company until 1980. With the opening of Butcher & Banker, the public can see the vault for the first time in 37 years.

A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty!     Chez Fifi did not disappoint! We had an exceptional experience from the French martini to the chocolate mousse, each dish was better than the next. The dining room has a certain je ne sais quoi and made for a lively dinner. The service was great too!

    An unusual place that is historic and fun to go to. All out Hogwarts vibe. Rich wood etc. Chef is a CIA grad and his food reflects it. Everything seasoned properly and seasoned well with salt and butter. We had prix fix dinner which included a tasty and simpleamuse bouche, which was really an hors dourve. Appetizer course was perfectly cooked scallops and buretta. Salad course was the only thing that didn't live up to the rest of the meal. Two leaves of lettuce with cubed beets and a light citrus dressing. Entree was sea bass for us. Again everything was prepared meticulously with rich flavors. Lastly dessert was a classic creme brûlée and a deep dark chocolate cake. A real treat. We will definitely visit again.

    The food at BAZI is outstanding. We make a point of having dinner at BAZI every time we come to NY from Boston. Every dish is delicious so it is difficult to chose. This trip we had the lamb ka akulfBarraeh, Paratwala kofta, Darib ka kulfa, rice and raita. Everything was Terrific. We ate on the early side-around 6:30- and the noise level was civilized with conversation easy.
