The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. Gaucho had a special deal where they offered guests a free 2 course meal and you only paid for drinks, service charge. We had a lovely meal (fish and steak) which tasted great. Staff were attentive from the minute we arrived at restaurant. An enjoyable lunch!

Excellent service from Mark. A lively and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of room on our table in the bar area. Really good quality cheese and bacon burger and not overly expensive. Good reports from others for the flat iron steak and the sea bass. Great selection of beers and other drinks. A proper community pub with a prime spot on the river. Highly recommended.

A wonderful dinner for our honeymoon / first wedding anniversary. We’ve always wanted to come to Bibendum and we were so pleased that it was as lovely as we had hoped. We had the Bibendum burger which was delicious. Great service and a lovely little treat for our anniversary. Thanks!
