Best Historic Restaurants in Near North

Ambiance is lively, fun, warm. Service was good. The pesto gnocchi and carbonara alone are worth going back for. We split the 24oz dry aged NY strip and very much enjoyed it, also a great value. The patata larda and sautéed mushroom sides were lackluster. Mushrooms cooked in scorched oil, not even a pinch of salt. Overall kind of disappointed with the sides. But we'll definitely be back for the pastas, maybe try the steak with the bitter green salad next time. Although we didn't try the pizza they looked and smelled delicious.

The only bad part was that MJ himself was not there tonight. But everything here was amazing. The Jump man martini was great, and the fillet mignon was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Try the mashed potato’s, you get to try 3 different kinds. And the staff was friendly and attentive. Over all, great experience.

I love this place, especially when someone is playing the piano, but we were there on Christmas and it was great. Just enough people to make it easy to talk with one another. Everyone working there was very attentive and the owner made sure that everyone was comfortable and satisfied. 

Wendy was one of the best waitresses that I’ve ever had. A great dining experience!

Festive, delightful and exquisite multi-level restaurant with various and unique seating areas. Beautiful lighting. Charming, elegant and comfortable. Very unique. Extensive menu and delicious with thoughtful service.
