Best Historic Restaurants in Cuddesdon

Very friendly staff. Great service and lovely food. But it was just so chilly in there. People were wearing their coats on the next table. Yes it was a cold day, but no excuse for not boosting up the heat.

A wonderful time to rest, reflect and eat after a stunning visit to the museum. We had a wonderful visit to the Ashmolean, finding more and more rooms that we hadn't found before, and then had a lovely meal in the restaurant to talk and reflect on the time we had spent. The service was well paced, and the food was well prepared with portions of the right size. It really confirmed yet again that it is a good way to round up a visit.

The Thatch is consistently the best place to eat in Thame. Not a cheap option but the quality is excellent and the staff are just brilliant. You get what you pay for and a full restaurant, mid-week, shows that others must agree.
