Emelina's Peruvian Restaurant began in 2011 in a small location in the city of San Carlos. The loyalty and appreciation of our customers, as well as the good service and quality of our food, have allowed us to consolidate and expand our presence to other cities in the Bay Area. In 2023, Emelina's opened in Santa Clara and in 2024, a new location opened in San Jose. In June 2024, Emelina's Plus opened on historic Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale. Using the $5 special on "Hot Fish" and Taco Platters, the meal was a great deal. The food was tasty, served hot and fresh. The staff kept my fountain drink refilled as needed.

We were there on a night with street music on Murphy so more crowded than usual and maybe a bit understaffed. They created additional seating for us outside which was great. Food was ok and the menu was eclectic but sufficient to offer many choices with a large wine and beer selection. They looked to have a full bar inside but only served wine and beer which was fine for us. Service was a little slow but there were a couple of large parties that took up time. Overall we were happy with our experience.
