Best Hot Spot Restaurants in North Branford

The food and service were outstanding! You can get lost in all of the wonderful offerings in their store. Such a great idea to eat in such a lovely ambiance. Our food was beautifully plated and delicious. We opted to eat half our servings in order to try some of their desserts! We were not disappointed! And we got our leftovers packed away to eat later. This was a beautiful experience from start to finish... We will be back soon!

I ordered the stuffed mushrooms. They were the smallest five stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever seen in my life definitely not worth the money.

A great place to eat and celebrate a special occasion or just for drinks and or dinner. Food is delicious with choices for everyone including non meat eaters and gluten free. The menu for specialty drinks is very good. Beer menu also provides many choices. Both beer and cocktail menus provide non alcoholic choices. Servers are attentive and efficient. Prices are a bit higher than a typical pub tavern however the food is outstanding!

An absolute exquisite dining experience with incredible service, fine wines, and a wonderful cozy atmosphere. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. They are so careful in their preparation and so precise. Such high-quality food. It’s also the restaurant I go to for every one of my birthdays!

Amazing experience. Our server was amazing, the food was cooked perfectly and delicious. Had the meatball soup to start, was perfect starter then the Dever Steak and NY strip. Both were seasoned and sauced perfectly.
