Food wise, we ordered the tuna tartare which was good. Not a classic tartare but really good! A very nice surprise with the tonato sauce, paired with micro greens and freshly toasted bread and olive oil on the table. We continued our meal with two seafood dishes and the shrimp and mussels were cooked beautifully. The restaurant offers a nice cozy atmosphere and did we mention that the service and the staff were amazing? Mr. Franco Porporino (the owner) seems to care very much about his restaurant and customer satisfaction and that left us very impressed. What a delight to be at Nico’s - lovely soft music, tables placed a comfortable distance from each other to minimize the noise, excellent and pleasant service, and good food at reasonable (by today’s standards) prices. When we got there we discovered there was music playing. It was fun music but very loud. They were so nice and moved us in the back so we could talk to each other. The food was fantastic.
