Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Highland Park

We have frequented several Hazelwood restaurants around the Twin Cities and all uphold high standards we have for one of our favorite spots. This visit was no different. We brought long-time friends with us and it was their first time--of course they loved everything as well. The Walleye is fresh and delicious and they all opted for gouda hashbrowns instead of the rice. The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful. As someone who has a dairy allergy, I put my trust in the servers to protect my wellbeing. Our server here took great care of me and even suggested switching out the mashed potatoes for their amazing brussel sprouts! If only I could make their brussel sprouts at home!-- So good! 😋 We had a wonderful meal, drinks, and visit thanks to the great folks at the Bloomington Hazelwood.

A wonderful place to celebrate a birthday, as we did, or just to have a very special meal . The food was absolute perfection, the service attentive and the ambience sparkling. I can't wait to go again!

We really enjoyed Bennett’s Chop & Rail. The food and service were outstanding! My wife fell in love with their Walleye Sliders😋 I highly recommend them!!!

We have enjoyed The Howe's Pawtio in the past years, but it is so much nicer now! And the winter decor was really fun. Always good food - good drinks - good service. And our dog loves her muttloaf too. Thumbs and paws up for The Howe!

There were 6 in our party. We had 2 freshly made salads with grilled chicken, the walleye, meatloaf, French dip and burger. All were good, with the salads and walleye being exceptional!! Salads are freshly tossed with homemade dressings. My daughter had the whole walleye, not the fish fry.
