Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden.     We brought my brother and sister-in-law here for the first time on 2/15/25. Our server Merrick (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was great! Phenomenal dinner, food came out quickly and was delicious. The guys got whole chickens and my sister in law got the chicken sandwich. We ordered fries, spoon bread, succotash, horseradish mashed potatoes, shrimps and grit and macaroni and cheese. We had a lot left over but they wanted to try everything. Last night, the shrimps and grits stole the show though, 10/10! Our only issue, I hate to mention it because we had such a wonderful time but since I am deaf in one ear I feel it may be helpful to someone else; we were seated under a speaker and the music was so loud. So if you’re going and you have hearing issues, maybe ask not to be seated close to where their speakers are. Highly recommend if you love quick, efficient service and pipin hot, yummy food!

    Our favorite place to eat! The lamb chops were tasty, and the sweet potato casserole was delicious! The Ruth’s salad is my favorite! The steak with shrimp was the best we’ve had in a long time! The cheesecake was a perfect dessert! The service and ambience are always 5 star and it’s worth the drive to downtown.

    Took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day and our waiter ham, yes that’s his name ham, was polite funny and a overall great person, food was incredibly good , best steak fajita tacos I’ve had and we will definitely coming back

    We are so glad we discovered this absolute Gem in Cincinnati. The food was amazing, the wine list impressive and the best part - the prices are the best value I have seen in a first class restaurant in a long time! The food and wine are priced well below the market trends I have found in other restaurants if this caliber. To top it off, our Server Morgan was incredible! We also had the pleasure of meeting Dan, our host who was extremely gracious. Our only regret was not finding this restaurant sooner. We will be back - and often!
