Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries.     Aloha, we’re back in LV and had to return to Edo GTW. Still my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas and you know we eat at amazing places. Our 3rd tapas bar this trip including JA Bazzar Mar and ADB. Edo by far the best. We had the pre fixe and added on everything else. You’ve got to come here. See my pictures. Enjoy!

    The food was great. We were about 2!to 3 minutes late and were seated within minutes of our arrival. The music was lovely and entertaining and little loud. It did make conversation a little difficult. The food is excellent! I highly recommend it!

    The food was amazing! Our server was excellent (wish I could remember her name). We aren’t super familiar with Thai cuisine, but she did a great job making small suggestions so that all the dishes seemed complimentary to each other. We are only in Vegas for a week, but we might go back a second time we enjoyed it so much.

    This is an exceptional restaurant. Please do not let the outdated plaza which houses the restaurant fool you. This is an oasis where the food and service are exceptional. We have been coming here every Vegas trip.
