- LLizVIPPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWhat an unexpected and pleasant surprise this restaurant was, nestled within the old Eagle Tavern. The ambience and decor really aligned with the broader theme of a southern farm to table kitchen. The cocktails were spectacular, especially if you like whiskey, because they have an incredible selection. The sweet potato hush puppies were perfectly fried, and the honey and sauce were delicious. We ordered the short rib and salmon, and the chef was able to make adjustments to the vegetables to address an allergy issue. Both plates were licked completely clean because everything was absolutely delicious. We also got the skillet cornbread and while it was two cut slices on a skillet and not an actual skillet, the flavor was delicious. The only adjustment I would suggest there is the butter was chilled, which made it hard to spread. I wasn’t as excited about the dessert selection but honestly, I didn’t need dessert because the meal was just spectacular. Special shout out to our server, Maddie, who was perfectly attentive without being ever present.More infoBloom Southern KitchenPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• Chester Springs•4.6
- JJessieNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoWe moved from the great room into the historic part of the restaurant because it was too hot. The hostess was very accommodating. Our server was exceptional and attentive. We enjoyed our bottle of wine and wished we had a basket of bread and butter in the beginning. I had the pheasant pate, which was outstanding, and my husband had the beet salad. He said he liked the vinaigrette. Later, I had eggs benedict without the Canadian bacon. I was glad I omitted that. There was hardly any hollandaise sauce to be seen. I was given some more, which was overly salty. With Canadian bacon, I would not have been able to eat it because of the salt. My husband had the Steak Frites, but the fries and the spinach were too salty. He ate the steak but didn't feel good later because of the salt. Overall, the ambiance is terrific. If you are sensitive to salt, which I do not (I love salt), let them know. We will be going back but will order something else.More infoGolden Pheasant InnPrice: Expensive• American• Erwinna•4.9

Waited came to table because he read my shellfish allergy, and identified the items that were dangerous, I was so thankful and impressed that they took the time to explain- it made my dining experience most enjoyable. - CCourtneyNew York City •4 reviews4.0Dined on 19 Dec 2024Food was great, our waiter was attentive and we were not rushed. We unknowingly ordered guacamole that was $33 and we were only two people so that was a bit of a sticker shock - and unnecessary because it was way too much. Other than this, good experience.More infoRosa Mexicano ArdmorePrice: Moderate• Mexican• Ardmore•4
