Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Port Carling

I don't remember the last time we dined at State and Main. All I can say is that it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in such a long time. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and the value incredible, but the staff were just phenomenal. I wish I knew the name of the lady that took care of our table. She was truly the sweetest girl ever! If the restaurant reads this review and can provide her name, please tell her we said Thank you, it would mean so much to us. She made the experience that much better than it already was. Thank you State and Main for such an amazing family day out!!!

Absolutely Outstanding! The service at The Common Stove is hands down the best I’ve experienced in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The food? Absolutely amazing—every dish was crafted to perfection. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the owners. They are incredibly genuine and clearly prioritize both their guests and their team. It’s refreshing to see a business where the owners trust their staff to do their jobs without micromanaging, and it shows in the seamless, top-tier experience they provide. Highly recommend!

Lovely place for a date! Was kindly welcomed and seated, and promptly served. The food was outstanding! I had the hanger steak with truffle fries and local mushrooms, the steak arrived medium rare as requested and the chimichurri complemented the steak very well. My date got the pasta of the day which she enjoyed as well. The drinks and desserts should not be missed either. The house cocktails were very nice and the creme brulee and chocolate mousse were phenomenal. I generally dont go for desserts but the mousse was so good youd be foolish not to try it.

Crossroads is our favourite restaurant. It never disappoints. I have enjoyed so many different dishes over the years. Last night’s Seafood Newburgh with lobster and veal medallions, was no exception. They dishes offered are unique, exquisitely displayed and the taste and quality of food is excellent. Thank you so much to the Lalonde family; Julie & Richard, Emma, Gabby & Tristan. They have created a wonderful business and destination spot for our area of Muskoka Parry Sound. The outdoor evening lights Create a wonderful ambience. Enjoy the winter wonderland as you relax in a Muskoka chair around the fire pit. It is everything you could want all seasons, for a special night out, family event or just a wonderful meal. We were a party of 4 celebrating my friend's birthday. Lovely touches; Happy Birthday on the menu and little sign on the table. The food was 10/10! Lovely setting! Highly recommend Heather Lodge and will be coming back soon.
