Our dining experience at this charming restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The rich history of the establishment added a unique and inviting atmosphere, complemented by its cozy ambiance. The drink menu was exceptional, featuring standout options like the Paper Plane, which is a personal favorite and is listed as one of their signature cocktails. The Spicy Margarita was equally impressive, offering a perfect balance of heat and flavor. To start, the pear salad was a refreshing and flavorful choice, setting the tone for the meal. However, the true highlight of the evening was the pot pie. The crust was impeccably flaky and golden, while the filling was rich, savory, and utterly satisfying. Best dinner we’ve ever had in NJ! From the food all the down to the ambiance, it was incredible! We absolutely loved being seated in the old train cart; it felt so romantic! We went for Valentine’s Day and had a prix fixe menu. For the appetizers, we had the The Grille’s Signature Crab Bisque and Caprese. Entrees, we had the Chateaubriand Bouquetiere and Rod’s New York Prime Sirloin Steak. For dessert, we both chose the cheesecake. We will be back!

It’s our first time at this place, even though we’ve been seeing it for over two decades. In short, we were quite pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food, as it was light but very flavorful - not as salty as we thought we’d get from almost any Italian restaurant we’ve been to, some of which are very good in their own right. However, this lightness in taste stood out, be it the prosciutto in the salad or the clams in pasta. We’ll come back for sure.

Not their fault, but it was really windy last night so in the outdoor dining tent it got a bit loud. Obviously not the restaurants fault. That was literally the only issue. The food, drinks and service were just great and I can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonder first time at tap and bitter. It was a quiet Sunday but the staff checked in on us throughout our dinner. We always had water and didn’t feel rushed and they gave us time in between courses to relax and enjoy each other company
