Best Live Music Restaurants in Desoto

My wife and I started dining at Avanti over 25 years ago when we were dating. We have celebrated many anniversaries there since, as we did last evening. When I made the reservation on Open Table I stated that it was our anniversary and requested our favorite seating in the northwest corner of the dining area because it’s quiet and provides a nice view of the rest of the restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by the warm and friendly hostess who wished us a happy anniversary said that our table was ready. Our waiter, Martin, was friendly, informative and attentive. My wife ordered her usual Bolognese. We have traveled to Italy many times and the Tagliatelle Bolognese at Avanti is by far the most authentic we’ve had in the US. I had the Cioppino which was also amazing. They surprised us with Tiramisu served on a platter wishing us a happy anniversary. It was just as romantic as always. Thank you Avanti… we will be back again!!

Amazing experience. The service was incredible, as was the food and atmosphere. We dined there for my father in law’s birthday dinner. The only complaint I have is that the waiter recommended the seafood platter appetizer for the table that ended up be over $700 which was a bit of a shock when we had no indication at all on the price.

Anything and everything we have ordered at The Ranch is always well prepared and very, very good. The chicken fried steak is excellent, steaks are great, and the seafood is equally good. Highly recommend the pecan pie!

The food was great, everything tasted spot on. But very expensive for a prix fixe 3 course meal. However, the Chef was willing to switch out the cooked carrots for the broccolini that was served with the fish. We were not offered a drink/wine menu. So when asked if we wanted something other than water I just went to a go to Sauv blanc. Then was asked NZ or California. No clue pricing, no clue brand, no clue other options. Also had to ask for bread this year when that was always a staple at the table. That being said, We have been coming here on Xmas Eve for the last 4-5 years (minus last year closed) so we were little disappoint to see you switched over to prix fixed menu it was not advertised when I made the reservation a month or so prior. Being able to order off the menu was the draw for us picking MCH over other steak houses in the area. It’s a special holiday we want to be able to indulge and enjoy the things we don’t typically treat ourselves and family to. Also no valet service this year. Not a huge deal, but it is a nice option when again, you’re dressed up, wearing heels etc for a special occasion and don’t have to scurry across the parking lot in the cold and this year spitting rain.

We LOVED our Sea Bass and Caesar evening. We substituted Mushroom Risotto for the base and it was so delicious! Our favorite restaurant of all! These guys do it right!
