This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for over a decade, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. Lovely London night out in a great traditional venue. Your coat is taken as soon as you arrive and you are handed a numbered token, then the Maitre d (the owner) welcomes you at the entry desk letting you know when your table is ready. You are then taken through into one of several lovely old fashioned but well maintained rooms and seated at your table. You are presented with the menu which is all classic French fare - bisque, crab mayonnaise, pate etc, with mains including halibut, duck confit, cassoulet, lobster and more. The wine list is not extensive, but affordable with red wines from memory priced at between the late £20’s up to £300, so not too bad for a central london location. Desserts are also lovely pear and apple tart, tarte de citron and so on. All relatively simple dishes but cooked perfectly from my experience and that of my fellow guests. A lovely, classic London night out. We will be back.

A perfect meal, all 3 courses were top notch and the service was great too, despite being a very busy time in the run up to Christmas. It was an anniversary and a very special way to celebrate. Thank you.

This is an amazing restaurant… when we first walked in we thought it could be a little “stuffy” but we were so wrong … all the staff were amazing the service perfect and the food….. every dish was beautiful - even the bread… we would not stop talking about it. Start with the champagne and enjoy Now its to cheap but considering the quality of food and wine we were more then happy with the bill.

Lovely place with a great ambience. Food not as good value as it once was and service a little forgetful and erratic, but still a great go-to in this part of town.
